Gaga apologizes for her “poor judgement when [she] was young.” And by “young,” she means 5 years ago. The attempted revisionism here is remarkable.
I’m old enough to remember that Gaga intentionally worked with R. Kelly (and producer Terry Richardson) because of the controversies surrounding two men known to be sexual predators. Though both men deny it.
She went full blonde—conjured up violent images, histories, and stereotypes of white woman innocence and Black men as sexually violent bucks. She called herself making rape art with a man known to prey on Black girls. And it was intentional.
