I am reading one of those girl on a chicken in a window in a train in a cabin in a wood thrillers that was super-hyped up and the problem with knowing the genre is that I’m just waiting for the Unreliable Narrator Reveal and I can’t let myself like the character.
At this point, I just assume everyone in the book is actually is dead and I am probably the murderer.
Possibly I was scarred by the month where I read three unreliable narrators in a row, purely by accident, with no warning going in. After that I didn’t believe anything. “In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit...” So you SAY, but can anyone else see this alleged “hole”?
