UHT adalah singkatan kepada Ultra-Heat-Treated. Maksudnya, susu tersebut dipanaskan pada suhu yang tinggi (~140 degC) dalam tempoh yang pendek (~3 saat). Objektifnya adalah untuk membunuh segala jenis bacteria sebelum di pack dalam aseptic packaging.
UHT adalah teknologi lain sikit daripada pasteurisation. Dalam proses pasteurisation, susu di panas kan pada suhu rendah sikit daripada UHT (~72 degC) selama ~15 saat. Proses ni tak matikan segala jenis bakteria dalam susu tu.

Ni contoh pasteurised milk. (bukan tweet berbayar)
Sebab dia tak bunuh segala jenis bakteria (sebahagian sahaja), pasteurised milk biasanya akan disimpan dalam suhu yang rendah. Sebab tu kalau korang pergi ke supermarket, susu ni akan disimpan di dalam fridge.
Pada suhu yang rendah, bakteria takkan dapat membiak untuk rosakkan sus tu. And one more thing, korang akan nampak yang susu tu punya expiry date adalah singkat berbanding UHT.
Sebab tu now milk supplier, they go for UHT. Sebab shelf life dia lagi lama (expiry date dia boleh berbulan-bulan) and they don't need a refrigerator. Bila tahan lama, they'll have bigger production gap.
Cthnya, pasteurised milk cuma tahan 4 - 5 hari sahaja. So, every 4 - 5 days, they have to keep producing new batch. Kalau susu UHT yang tahan lama, they probably need to produce new batch couple of months later.
Tapi kena ingat, expiry date yang berbulan2 tu only valid kalau korang tak break the seal. Kat label packaging, always ada statement consume 3 within 3 days after opening.
By the look at this video, dia tak tunjuk pun yang dia break the seal. So, could be the seal had been broken and then it's the matter of days for the milk to spoil.

Also, just so u know, kotak tu menggelembung sebab gas2 yang dibebaskan oleh bakteria yang membiak dalam susu tu. That's why.
Info Tamnahan: Disebabkan susu UHIT boleh tahan lama, ini membolehkan milk supplier untuk export susu mereka ke destinasi yang lebih jauh..!
