Do you know how to write words that can make your reader...
Drool
Envision a future
Laugh
Cry
... or feel anything at all?
This is what separates a good ad from a boring one...
A thread
But, therein lies the problem...
The big words and statements will quickly make for boring copy
Which loses your reader...
Making your "lengthy copy" pointless
They are simply reading words
When I write an ad, I am selling a concept, not a product
What does this mean?
-Freedom
-A better life
-More status
-Power
-Notoriety
-Fame
Even though, I sell copywriting products and services, I am selling the concept of the above items
This is done by painting a picture of what life will be like for the purchaser
You are looking for a simple way to get out of your 9-5 or become secure financially
I do this by painting a picture of writing from your kitchen table
I say things like, "I write words on a google doc for money"
I write some words on a google doc, click send, and boom
I'm done
The client is happy, I get paid
That's a beautiful "picture" I've "painted" in your mind, isn't it?
When I write to weight loss clients, I use phrases to paint a picture in the reader's mind...
"Picture this..."
"Imagine what you'll feel like when..."
"Take a minute and think about..."
"Stop and FEEL what it would be like if..."
It tells the reader to picture, imagine, feel how the product I'm selling would actually be once they've purchased
After they do that, the CTA is nearly pointless, they are GOING to click "buy now"
They've already experienced and mentally used this product in their mind
The close is a piece of cake now
Try it out and let me know how it goes
