“Nick, how long should my copy be?”

“No one will read all of that copy!”

A quick thread to shut the marketing mortal’s face holes
Have you ever wondered if you’ve written TOO much in your copy?

Or worse...

Not enough copy...

As marketers, there’s a thin line, but when you’re writing a sales page, I say let loose

Here’s why...
Joseph Sugarman put it this way:

Read this example first...

(Your last name) Family chosen as heirs of multi-million-dollar fortune

Family who lives on (your street) in (your city) was willed millions of dollars by an anonymous person...
If you saw the above copy in your local newspaper would you read the first sentence?

OF COURSE!

And would you keep reading to get every... single...juicy... detail about claiming your money?

OF COURSE!
Why though?

-You’re personally involved
-You VERY MUCH relate to the topic
-It’s very informative
-It’s very interesting

Your intrigue and curiosity would be at maximum level, leaving you foaming at the mouth to get your answer
Are you creating copy at this level?

Are you making your readers so curious they begin to slide down a slippery slope of info until they BUY?

That should be your goal
