This might be the worst article ever written on the MAGA hat wearing kids. It doubles down entirely on the narrative that those kids were in the wrong and that people--especially women--should not doubt their version of the truth even if it may be a lie.

Bonus: GAMERGATE.
The article, posted on Deadspin, neglects to mention that the only people who got doxed and harassed during this event were the teenage boys who were falsely depicted as racist bigots, and claims instead that the liars who called them out on it are in fact the real victims.
What does GamerGate have to do with anything? Why do people keep bringing it up? When Zoe Quinn wrote "August Never Ends," she wasn't wrong. August 2014 has never ended because cretins keep resurrecting it to run train on it over and over again.
That article is absolutely insane. It's basically instructing readers to ignore context, ignore the truth, ignore reality, and embrace the narrative because your dumb eyes told you to have a kneejerk response.

Just shut off your higher faculties and react like an animal.
The article gets a lot worse than just what I screenshotted. It claims (wrongly, again) that the students had worn blackface to a basketball game--and it even defends the Black Israelite cultists because they're minorities and have no systemic privilege to oppose white teens.
