Because I have an idea.
1) It doesn't make money (that's why Verizon media is laying people off)
2) It's trivial in size comparison to Verizon's main business (maybe $100-200 million in a company that does $125 billion yearly)
AT&T is right behind them with ~140million subscribers.
Would it really be that hard for Verizon subscribers to switch?
After all, most providers give bonuses/discounts to customers to do just that!
A social media campaign against Verizon to demand that they shutter HuffPo.
If they don't within, say, 90 days, conservatives commit to switch cell phone providers.
A catchy hashtag would help.
