I've been writing about Roger Stone for a long, long time. Taking today's news as a moment to look back at some of those pieces. This one was one of my first stories about him back at Newsweek: newsweek.com/roger-stone-do…
There was this one, where he told me he believed "establishent a**holes" were responsible for damaging leaks about the Trump Administration: mic.com/articles/16858…
And in this piece, Roger Stone directly contradicted the president about when they'd last been in touch: mic.com/articles/17690…
"A federal prosecutor can indict a ham sandwich. They can make anything look as they wish. That doesn't mean it's accurate," Roger Stone once told me... newsweek.com/donald-trump-p…
And if you think the Roger Stone - Randy Credico thing is new, trust me, it's not. I wrote about them getting into it way back during the 2013 election cycle, for example: nydailynews.com/blogs/dailypol…
There are more, but this one comes to mind: I asked Roger Stone for a column I wrote back in (wow) 2011 if he had any advice for the then-embattled Anthony Weiner. His rule: "Admit nothing, deny everything and launch counterattacks." Well, we shall see... nydailynews.com/blogs/dailypol…
And btw, Stone's prediction at the time about Weiner's fate: "Yes, he can still save himself - IF there is no final indisputable adjudication of what actually happened."

IF.
