@NormOrnstein "Point her out to me. I'll have her thrown out of here and we can have some fun." He didn't smile, or blink. He was dead-eyed serious. I left & told my date, "that's a very dangerous man. " She said, "Richard orders us to always be nice, but never leave him alone in the office.
@NormOrnstein Another Roger Stone story about a year later. By total coincidence (I think), he calls me. We'd built the DNC's first email system (for Mike McCurry), and he wanted to discuss one for the RNC. I said I wasn't interested. He said "my entire business is buying people's interest."
@NormOrnstein I saw him several years later at Cafe Milano schmoozing (or flirting with) Ron Fournier, and I recounted that "interest" story to a woman at the bar. The bartender overheard this and says "Roger buys it, sells it, fucks it, then fucks it over." Never forgot it.
