Sometimes I wonder why I try to be nuanced, since people will just hear the least complicated version of what you're saying anyway. Scripts would be a lot shorter if I just made sweeping statements.

I can't sleep so I'm finally watching @PhilosophyTube's video on antifa, and... fuck, I see why don't folks thought my video on fascism was ripping him off.

We use, like... all the same arguments and most of the same examples. 😮

I'm still thinking about @Hbomberguy's stream and what was so special about #ThanksGraham, so here comes another thread.

I'm a little underslept so let's see if I can string sentences together.
I've been getting some CuriousCat questions asking if this proves anger and spite are great motivators and whether the Left should rely on them more.

But what strikes me is how, despite being framed as "let's spite Graham," the tone of the stream was anything but spiteful.
Something I've been thinking about a lot in the last year or so is how anger is, indeed, a very motivating emotion, and how much of the time that motivation is precisely *why* people get angry.

A short thread on how NOT to shift #culture

1) Weak leadership - enough said.
2) A vision that has been written by a few and adopted by the few that wrote it. It's understood by no-one.
3) A mission that is known by a select group who when questioned, don't know it. The school are certainly none the wiser. It's a mission that impresses from the outside looking in but is meaningless to the inside ones looking out.

When shows I watch get cancelled, I always wish I'd have done more to praise them. So this'll be an ongoing thread of shows I like, cancelled and renewed.
I basically stumbled onto #Rise and it had me in my feelings every week. Such a good story and really talented young cast. I had a feeling it wouldn't be renewed, so I was apprehensive about investing. But it was a worthwhile to do so.
#Sirens is one of my favorite shows this season. I went into it expecting a kind of teenage melodrama (like Twilight with mermaids) but it's actually mature and smart. It's a far more engaging story than I expected and I actively anticipate new episodes every week.
