1. ALL WHITENESS, IN THE U.S., IS RACIST BY DEFAULT BECAUSE OF HOW YOU’VE TRAINED TO EXPERIENCE THE WORLD

WHITE WOMEN LITERALLY BREED WHITE SUPREMACY
2. Whiteness does NOT get to redefine racism, which is its own creation, or to define its IMPACT

Just as your whiteness is the ONLY lens which you see the world, we’re the experts at identifying anti-Blackness and racism
3. Due to this fact, whiteness cannot be trusted to recognize or work at dismantling white supremacy and racism with intentional strategic effort

Whiteness must be willing to get comfortable with being uncomfortable
A system of privilege cannot be effectively improved by those who have benefited from privilege

I can admit that I have, until recently, spent a great deal of time, within the safety of the cocoon I created for myself as a Black womAn from GA in the U.S.

I've always known, even as a child, that my well-being was directly tied to white supremacy and racism... 2/
what I wasn't aware of until recently, was how intimately connected my well-being and that of Black women was now being impacted by the decisions of tech leaders

It took this conversation with @digitalsista on the @causeascenePod, to open my eyes 3/

OK, I think it's time for a clarificatory thread from me on Venezuela. A shorter one, I hope. And also a bit of a mea culpa - because I'm still being way too harsh on here with those I disagree with. It won't happen overnight, but I'll learn. Hopefully.
Let's be clear about this. The Venezuelan opposition are NOT good people. Very far from it. This isn't an either/or "one side is bad so the other one is good" or vice versa. Venezuelans, given their country's tragic history, know that better than anyone.
A very big problem with the current situation is that the Venezuelan right have as much problem taking the whole country with them as the Venezuelan left. This is a country riven for generations by issues around class and race. So would a new government just seek revenge?

OK. Brace yourselves. It’s time for yet another thread about anti-semitism. (How I pray for a time I will no longer have to write these).
Labour people. Can we stop saying that anti-semitism is worse in the Tory party. Or society at large. It’s like cooking a meal for a vegetarian and saying it has some meat but not as much as other meals. Labour is the party of anti-racism. There should be zero tolerance of AS.
Can we remember:
You can fight AS in Labour AND fight for Palestinian rights and freedom.

You can fight AS AND other forms of racism at the same time. It’s not either/or.

You can fight AS in Labour BECAUSE you want Labour to win the next election, not to stop them winning.

Thread: Here’s how the U.S led strikes on #Syria developed from here in the Capital #Damascus in the early hours of this morning
1. At around 4.30 Damascus time I awoke to initial large sounds of over 10 rocket attacks, it immediately was clear from the types of missile being heard that it was a Western Attack conducted by the #U.S #France & #U.K
