The calls to blocked numbers, which came on June 6, and after the meeting on June 9, were between Trump Jr.’s cell phone and two family friends -- NASCAR CEO Brian France and real estate developer Howard Lorber, according to the sources.

... but when Lorber itemized various ventures none seemed to ring a bell.

Lorber's boss at the time, Bennett LeBow, had cultivated ties to businessmen suspected of having ties to Russian organized crime.
LeBow brought Vadim Rabinovich—the Ukrainian representative of the notorious Austrian firm Nordex GmbH—to a Clinton-Gore fundraiser in September 1995 at the Sheraton Bal Harbor Hotel in Miami. Rabinovich even managed to pose for a photo with Clinton.
Well this is interesting. After Howard Lorber’s name surfaces as one of the blocked calls Don Jr made around the June 2016 Trump Tower meeting this video surfaces. To Trump’s left is Lorber and Bennett LeBow. h/t @olgaNYC1211
