News broke yesterday that Erik Prince's company Frontier Services Group has a deal to build a training center in Xinjiang, where Muslim Uighurs/Uyghurs are persecuted

A Prince spokesman denies he knew of the deal & FSG deleted the news from their site /1
Although his firm FSG just signed a deal with authorities in China to build a training center in Xinjiang - a spokesperson said Erik Prince ‘unaware’ of deal in region where up to a million Uighurs are reportedly held in extrajudicial detention camps /2

Per WaPo, Frontier Services Group said deal is at a “very early” stage and it could not say what kind of training would be carried out at the base - after Reuters reported the deal - a statement posted on Frontier Services Group’s website was deleted / 3

In December 2018 Prince’s position as Chairman of Frontier Services, the company he founded, ended - he became Deputy Chairman of the board and remained an executive director...but the discussions about FSG business in Xinjiang started before the change /4
While Prince’s spokesperson said he didn’t know about the deal in Xinjiang - the plans for FSG to work in Xinjiang province as part of China's OBOR (One Belt One Road) initiative were in the works since before then, as noted in this Sept ’18 article /5
Prince has been busy as his company FSG expands in Xinjiang, and he continues to to try to help unlock the mineral wealth in Afghanistan /6
Prince has also just launched an effort to raise $500 million for a fund to mine cobalt & other minerals used in car batteries
And because everything that is old is new again - Prince is also trying to revive the toxic Blackwater brand with the recent launch of Blackwater Ammunition
Prince is also listed as a director of “We Build the Wall, Inc." - an org created by Brian Kolfage, the veteran behind “Fund the Wall” GoFundMe, to help build the Southern border wall
And since Prince doesn't have enough on his plate he's working with Hollywood on a biopic of his life story
Here's Prince in his own words March 2017 describing FSG training facility in Xinjiang - which his spokesperson now claims Prince knew nothing about...

"FSG will be opening a training facility in Xinjiang to serve businesses in the Northwest corridor."
