Erik Prince's Frontier Services Group (FSG) is building a training center for the Communist paramilitary organization XPCC in the the Xianxjang Uyghur region of China. XPCC was created by Mao Zedong. Restarted in 1981 after Soviet invasion of Afghanistan fsgroup.com/news/show-454.…
"Founded in 1954, the XPCC was initially made up of about 175 thousand soldiers and their dependents, almost all Han Chinese...swelled by large numbers of demobilized military personnel, young people, intellectuals, scientists, and technicians"bsg.ox.ac.uk/sites/default/…
"Besides intensifying the militia training, XPCC is enhancing an emergency response mechanism with the local government. In the past, XPCC’s military role was diluted and decreasing. The centre has warned that XPCC should pay more attention to this aspect."
"State media says the central government has plans for the XPCC to build more cities as part of an anti-terror campaign." foreignpolicy.com/2014/10/08/chi…
Talk about burying the lede. How many companies partially owned and run by Erik Prince are building security training camps for Communist paramilitaries to ethnic cleanse Uyghers? Now you know why the DoJ should never have given his other company a Deferred Prosecution Agreement.
Start with the bottom of this dull sounding Reuter's article and read up. reuters.com/article/us-chi…
The last paragraph of the Reuter's piece on Erik Prince supporting religious and ethnic repression in China:
"In its post, FSG cited Tumxuk Communist Party boss Li Zhenguo as saying he hoped the project with FSG would help bolster the bingtuan's presence in southern Xinjiang."
"between 800,000 and two million people, or up to 15 percent of Xinjiang’s Muslim population, have been incarcerated in a growing network of more than 1,000 concentration camps." nytimes.com/interactive/20…
"Bingtuan" means "army unit" but refers to the the Chinese Communist-forced displacement, "re-education" and Han dilution of the Turkic Uyghurs in West Turkestan aka Xinjiang. And right along the OBOR of course. uhrp.org/uaa-and-uhrp-r…
A comprehensive report on what is going on inside the re-education camps in Kashgar from @uyghurproject docs.uhrp.org/pdf/MassDetent…
A leaked report that provides some insight on OBOR and how China will impact Pakistan. How will Islamic nations like Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iran deal with China's treatments of their own Muslim population. Including China's use of mass surveillance? dawn.com/news/1333101
East Turkestan...dammit. October 1, 1955, Mao Zedong created the "Uyghur Autonomous Region" East Turkestan is just one of other separatist and ethnic movements inside China.
I neglected to point out that the FSG announcement on the XPCC deal was only published in Chinese and that Prince was demoted on Dec 9, 2018 from his long time position as Chairman of FSG to Deputy Chairman.
