This is shocking. @lorddeben often accuses others of vested interests, but has been paid by green energy clients w/out declaring them while chairing the govt’s Climate Change Committee and pushing for policies relevant to those clients. 1.

Code of conduct says to declare 'any private interests which may, or may be perceived to, conflict with your public duties'. @lorddeben’s wholly owned business Sancroft took money from biomass energy firm Drax while his committee was writing a report on biomass. 2.
Exeter university academic warned @lorddeben in 2015 that payments from green energy fund Temporis Capital were a 'clearly unethical' conflict of interest which would cause 'embarrassment' if made public. He ignored this and his firm got a further £37,000 from Temporis. 3.
Johnson Matthey paid @lorddeben’s firm “£292,699 between 2012 and 2017, while it was investing heavily in new technology for electric vehicles. The CCC strongly backed electric cars in a 2018 report.” 4.
The Ciimate Change Committee is obliged to give “a balanced response to the risks of climate change” and “independent, evidence-based advice to the UK government and Parliament”. Under @lorddeben it ceased to do so and became partisan. 5.

In 2013 @lorddeben, as ccc chairman, falsely charged that I had not cited the mainstream scientific literature when writing about ocean acidification. I had included direct quotations from 17 papers in the mainstream scientific literature. 6.
In 2015 @lorddeben commissioned a report to respond to a speech I made. He did not tell me he was doing so, did not allow a response, did not tell me the report had been published, did not put the report’s author’s name on it, did not reveal how much the author was paid. 7.
The report was full of inaccuracies as I pointed out to @lorddeben.

It even doctored a quotation to omit words that supported me. On each of 9 items, I showed that the @ccc’s attack on me was wrong. My refutations stand and have not been challenged. 8.
The Climate Change Commitee has questions to answer about allowing @lorddeben to conceal his conflicts of interest & to use the committee and public funds to pursue personal and mendacious attacks. 9.
