It's possible that once upon a time people may have believed the government when it said an employer had back tracked on a deal. But that time is long ago. No we know better. We know this government is shameless & remorseless, using other people's sense of honour against them. 1/
Japan is a proud nation, it has a deep culture and if there is any one country where honour is down into the fabric of a people, it is in Japan. It runs through their blood like poison runs through the blood of this government. 2/
And now we find ourselves listening to the claims of a government that has a disdain for honour vs silence from a company who's heritage is infused with honour. Who are you going to believe? 3/
And then we must consider that this company it not a fly by night, it is not a small textile manufacturer, it is Nissan. One feels the need to tell certain people in the government to say it slowly. And then they must also understand that we have betrayed them, not visa versa. 4/
I've said before that Nissan would not beg. To their credit they have stuck in there throughout this self induced economic sleep walk but alas they can not allow a small group of megalomaniacal crazies be a threat to their business. /5
They are Nissan. They have seen many governments come and go in territories where they operate. They will not beg. There will be no warning. They will just go. The decision not to build the next models at their UK plants is just the start. 6/
Why? Because the UK can not be trusted. We have betrayed the trust that Nissan gave us. We have betrayed the trust of 27 other nations of the EU who rightly, not only can not trust us, but should be wary of us, we are at this moment utterly toxic. 7/
And of course do not think that the rest of the world is not watching. Nissan has sent a message and when Nissan sends a message it is listened to, not just by car producers, but by everyone. 8/
The irony that it is the American president along with his friends who have helped the UK throw away it's trump card, membership of the most successful trading union of all time providing companies with a springboard into a massive sophisticated valuable market. 8/
We know that #brexit is a project for ultra capitalists, a stepping stone for control. Destruction of the economy is part of the plan. If we are to salvage our reputation, we must revoke article 50 and re-evaluate if this is really what we want. /9
We must think about whether we want economic destruction and societal deconstruction. We must think about what we are in the world, not what some like to imagine we once were. We must all realise that in this modern connected world no country is an island. ✌🏼#PeoplesVote #FBPE
