Made famous as 'siberian birds' - these are actually named Palla's Gull. They are NOT from Siberia @PrayagrajKumbh @uptourismgov @incredibleindia.

This is one of the rarest birds of North India and it is a very splendid sight to see. This is found only near river banks.

Found mainly in the jungles some of these are often found near cities and often unnoticed by people. They are also called 'seven sisters' as they are often found in groups of seven.

Crested black & white. Utters a sharp chirruk chirruk.

Keeps in pairs..
Vigilant & noisy. Vibrates it's feet rapidly to flush invertebrates.

Stocky - thick neck. Nocturnal - except when feeding young.

It's from the family of 'Dabbling Ducks'.
They visit #Prayagraj during Winters only. Breeds in #Himalayas.

Widespread in India except areas of Rajasthan, Andhra & Tamil Nadu.

We were able to spot more than 50 species, could not take photos of all in 1 day
Bird photography requires patience & time, one day doesn't suffice.

Birds simply fly away. ☺️☺️
