Any river has the ability of self-purification if left alone. #Delhi Govt is creating a robust infrastructure for the treatment of big drains that flow into #YamunaRiver. Still, they should've also planned quick-fix solutions for immediate action, which they did not. #Yamuna
The Government of Delhi is focusing on a long-term, much-needed solution (by 2023-24), but there should've been short-term solutions as well. #YamunaPollution has been an issue for many decades, and hardly anyone has done anything about it.

The @moefcc as d CA was conscious of d fact since #EIA1994 that it wud in-house not possess necessary expertise to assess d different kinds of #projectproposals that come its way & hence provided that:

The @PMOIndia ,@moefcc ,@CPCB_OFFICIAL & other statutory bodies have begun work on a massive interconnected net of sensors that will measure & monitor wastewater being generated & treated at all large commercial & industrial units in #India. 2/n
This system is designed to ensure no large #industry or facility can release untreated #sewage & harm the #environment.
The readings from the sensors will be monitored live at 7 locations including the @PMOIndia .
