1. Over the years I've accumulated many materials related to right-wing extremism, some going back many decades. Last month I shared a scanned copy of a Posse Comitatus pamphlet and it was well-received, so I thought I share another pamphlet, this time from Gerald L. K. Smith.
2. Gerald L. K. Smith started as wingman of left-wing populist Huey Long, then embarked on his own decades-long career as an anti-Semite and white supremacist. He was the David Duke of his era, in terms of his notoriety. For basic background, see en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gerald_L.….
3. This particular pamphlet is "Is Eisenhower a Communist? No! But--" and is basically a laundry list of things the extreme right hated (or manufactured) about Eisenhower. I did not scan the whole pamphlet--it is rather long--but did scan selected pages to give you a flavor.
4. You can see some of Smith's opinions about Jews, blacks and immigrants as well as his antipathy towards Eisenhower. The title, by the way, derives from the John Birch Society claim that Eisenhower was a stooge for the Communists.
5. For those interested in more about Smith, there is a very good biography of him by Glen Jeansonne (amazon.com/Gerald-L-K-Smi…).

If you like the idea of me occasionally sharing this sort of thing, please let me know. If enough people are into it, I may do more in the future.
