1. @AOC's Stupefying Act
This is some stupefyingly dumb shit that leftists are drooling over. Not a word of it makes any sense. All attitude, zero substance, 100% ignorance of our structure of government. Let me explain why this stunt is so insipid.

2. @AOC makes the case that a member of Congress is inherently corrupt if he/she is funded by corporate PACs and if he/she supports legislation which is beneficial to corporations that support him/her. Oh, and sadly the President's conduct is not subject to Congressional ethics.
3. That is it. I kid you not. This is considered wunderkind stuff. What freaking brainless pabulum!
4. If a member of Congress is funded/supported by the people in a district and after being elected supports legislation that benefits his/her constituents, would you call such a Congressperson hopelessly corrupt? Apparently @AOC would.
5. In the eyes of the law, corporations are just like people for purposes of freedom of speech, due process, protection against illegal search and seizure, and so on. So corporations are constituents just like people in a district.
6. After all, what are corporations? They are just a particular organization of people and resources with a common goal to produce a product or service desired by others. So they have the same right to petition Congress as any group of Americans does.
7. What irks Democrats about corporate PACs (Political Action Committees) is that they have the potential to neutralize Democrats' political advantage on the union front and the media front. Media companies are corporations too, and they advocate for Democrats with impunity.
8. So Democrats try to portray PACs as some evil entities doing nefarious things. In practice, PACs are just entities with a point-of-view and the means to advocate for their point of view. There's nothing underhanded about it at all.
9. As a matter of fact, the very first PAC was formed to support FDR's re-election. Like most things, PACs have evolved over successive generations but nothing has changed about the rhyme & reason for their being. Stop demonizing PACs because they stick in your craw politically.
10. As for the President not being subject to Congressional ethics rules, that is because of the fundamental separation of powers doctrine embedded in the Constitution. @AOC's ignorance of the Constitution is being lauded by the leftists as a mark of brilliance. Bravo nitwits!
11. @AOC is turning Congress into vaudeville. And people who should know better are letting her. Well, enjoy the show while it lasts. Who knows when Pelosi may pull the plug on her?

The End.
