Some references. World total population was est. 450 million in 1500, just over 1 billion in 1800, and is 7.5 billion today.
Historically, the largest block of slaves globally were those sent from Africa to North America from 1500 to 1808, when the US outlawed importation of slaves. That TOTAL was 12 million human beings over 300 years.
From 1500 to 1808 global population rose to 1 billion. In the US, largest benefactor of slavery, slave population peaked in 1860, at 4 million total approx. US slave pop was 400,000 in 1790 so it grew 10-fold 1790-1860.

Until you and other conservatives admit this, you cannot accurately diagnose what is wrong with conservatism in this country. And if you cannot diagnose it, you cannot fix it. 2/8
You seem shocked at the descent of conservatism but this was obvious from Reagan forward, to at least anyone on the outside looking in. Overlay a map of Republican "stronghold" states today with the Old Confederacy. Go ahead. 3/8

One of the biggest issues that most people run into with Facebook Ads is how to significantly scale without resetting the ad set optimization.

Here is a quick guide on how to do just that ⬇️
Typically when I wanted to scale one of my ad sets I would do so conservatively.

Only increasing the budget by around 10% every few days.

Any more and I would trigger what Facebook calls a "Significant Edit" which causes the ad set to re-optimize, which is not good.
However, something I started to notice was that when I would increase the budget of a campaign using budget optimization no "Significant Edit" would occur.

The reason I know this is because there is a column that you can add to your ads manager called "Last Significant Edit"

One thing that has bugged me in the last few decades is how people do willingly give in to categorizing themselves and others. Rather than enjoying what they want they only follow 'clique hobbies/activities' and willingly become stereotypical people.
They allow themselves to be pigeonholed, because that's what 'everyone else does' who has those hobbies. They literally can't comprehend people who mix hobbies that are seen as "incompatible" with one another.

I played AD&D in the early 80's. I also did BMX (old primitve BMX), &
I lettered in Cross Country, did marathons, kept my grades up, worked on a C-64, got a job ASAP, and all the kinds of stuff well rounded people did.

I could cook, sew, change a diaper, knew how to make a baby bottle, knew how to make and fly a kite, learned slowly how to work on

One of the most interesting places my ruins research has taken me is into the world of ancient Arabic poetry.

So here's the story of how a tiny fragment from the opening of ancient poems became one of the most enduring poetic tropes in history: that of "stopping by the ruins"
In Arabic literature, nothing is more redolent of loss & longing than the motif of wuquf 'ala al-atlal (الوقوف على الأطلال), stopping or standing by the ruins.

This beautiful motif originates in the pre-Islamic period, & occurs continuously in the history of Arabic poetry.
The motif sees a wandering Bedouin come across the ruin (atlal) of a campsite & become lost in memory.

The word wuquf / وقوف holds the double meaning of standing & stopping, so this portion of the poem usually forms a moment of stillness & meditation, outside of time.
