In the space of just 6 hours the whole Corbyn shitshow c.2015 has crossed the pond. The right-wing is scandalized. Jews are hurt. The soft-left is hoping she didn't really mean it. The hard-left is in "criticizing Israel isn't antisemitic" mode and antisemites having a field-day.
And of course people on the left are leaping to her defense with the real-racism-is-on-the-right line. As if hypocrisy is something they just discovered. Basically all you need to do is take everything written on Corbyn in the last 3 years and just replace the names.
You just know that Omar's next line of defense will be "how can anyone call me an antisemite I've been fighting racism all my life" and her supporters will be calling it a "smear" campaign and listing all the Jews who agree with her.
In the interest of saving everyone time. This is western politics in our day and age. If you want to be on the radical left, accept antisemitism in the guise of anti-Zionism. If you want to be part of the populist-right, accept antisemitism as anti-globalism and Soros-bashing.
And in the end they meet (*Horseshoe alert*) with David Duke praising Corbyn and Yair Netanyahu, Glenn Greenwald shilling for Putin and Assad, and gilets jaunes from the far-left and the far-right joining on the streets of Paris to trash Jewish beigel shops. 
Jews as the canary down the mine of society is such an old cliche, but it remains true. Antisemitism is the litmus test of democracy and we're seeing it resurface now on the widening margins of the right and the left for a reason. Ilhan Omar's tweet was just the latest symptom.
And just to make it clear, if you're making excuses today for Omar and Corbyn that they're "only criticizing Israel," you're no different to someone overlooking the racism of Trump, Netanyahu, Orban and Bolsonaro because they're "pro-Israel." END
