It is just few hours before the 2019 polls and here I am embittered and enraged. I find it difficult to connect the dots between the unenviable poor state of the masses and the love the masses have for their tormentors.
I was utterly shocked when I saw the great number and calibre of youths that came out for INEC training just a few days back.
In as much as it is difficult to reason how such a multitude are willing to risk their lives for a meagre #35000, it only reflects the harsh reality of the poor state of the youths who are a chunk of our population.
Sometimes I feel like weeping seeing how the ones we so much love to call "Messiah" come up with schemes to keep us locked up in a box of illiteracy and poverty and sway this box towards any direction that suits their bidding.
Funny how they come up with "elixirs" to fix up all our problems but such "elixirs" are never good enough for themselves or their family members.
Word on the street is that the current administration has not done enough to deserve reelection but how is it age-old wisdom to replace an ineffective tool with another ineffective one when there are better tools in the workshop.
Is it that we are so desperate or just too dumb to note that doing the same thing over and over again will never give a different outcome. #NowIsRipe
