On Kaepernick/Reid settlement, keep that in mind when you hear that the NFL will play anyone if they can win. No they won't, and no they don't have to. That teams chose to do this over kneeling rather than abuse let's you know what they really find unacceptable.
It's also a reminder that while players are told to stick to sports, owners are incredibly political and act in much more effective ways. Just look at the list of NFL owners who donated $1 million to Trump's inaugural committee, which is now under investigation.
Ultimately the gag order on all parties as a result of the Kap/Reid settlement does a disservice to fans *and other players* who deserve to know whether the NFL colluded in this case.
As my friend @JReidESPN noted, reporters who swallowed the line that Kaepernick mysteriously lost all his talent on the day that he kneeled should lose their amateur talent evaluator license.
