1. For those whose ready escape is the recourse to precedents, this latest exhibition of folly which came so late that many Nigerians are already at their polling units without knowing that the polls were postponed whilst they slept
2. Wbereas this announcement was made in the early hours of the day, the 2015 postponement was made 6 days ahead of the initially stipulated date - 14 Feb 2015

The shoddy arrangement for this election by the Independent National Electoral Commission, @inecnigeria is a deliberate predetermined agenda of President @MBuhari to cling on to power even when it's obvious to him that Nigerians want him out.
The postponement which is part of a grand design by the All Progressives Congress, @OfficialAPCNg, to thwart the will of Nigerians at all cost, clearly exposes @inecnigeria as a failure and I call on the Chairman of the Commission, Prof Mahmood Yakubu to resign immediately.

There was apprehension in the hall. Field reports that were trickling in showed that the DPP candidate, Great Ogboru was giving the PDP’s candidate,Dr Uduaghan a run for his money.
I shot a glance at the PDP’s Chief Returning Officer, Patrick Okowa, and saw anguish all over his mien. Then the NTA’s live broadcast of the INEC National Situation Room came up. The Chairman, Prof. Morris Iwu was about to announce some results.
For us at the Centre in Asaba, we were non-committal about the appearance for we knew that elections were still taking place in a few areas in Delta and that just a few results that were yet to be sorted had been brought to the collation centre. But nonetheless, we watched .

The pictures are those of the @inecnigeria Chairman, Prof Mahmood Yakubu who is on a 10 day trip to some West African countries in his capacity as the ECONEC Chairman. Before he departed, his lawyers communicated to the Court that he was traveling for official assignments.
This official duties had already been fixed before the court adjournment. But what really is the issue that prompted a bench warrant for his arrest? Now, I have to be very careful here seeing as some of our judges have learnt to “cover yam and see it ripen”.
But this matter exposes the high corruption that some in the judiciary have been enmeshed in; ridiculing that noble arm of govt.The matter is about a tussle in the Anambra PDP over who is the actual Chairman of the party,a matter that the Supreme Court in its wisdom had ruled.
