John Minford, #SunTzu 2:18 "Change the enemy's chariot flags and standards; mingle their chariots with ours."
Chariot flags. They were a thing. Can you see 1,000 chariots in formation, waiting for the order to charge into battle. Can you hear a small breeze pick up and the flags start flapping in the wind. Can you hear the snapping, multiplied by 1,000 of them?
As words change over time, it can be hard to take the modern meaning out and put an older meaning back in. What is a chariot standard? It's not the degree of quality by which they're built. It refers most often to an image of the god that the warriors are protected by in battle.
So, in order to complete our picture, we need to see the war lord's family deity as an image on each of the chariots on our side. So also on the other side. The outcome of the day will be a testament that our god is greater than their god. Remember, the will of Heaven?
We can see and feel this exact same ethos, still very much alive today, in Radical Islamic Terrorism. Allahu Akbar. God is great. My god is the greatest. Now, I kill you. Now, I am ready to die for Allah, and you will soon know the wrath of my god. Ancient, modern and oh so real.
To fill out our image, we should theorize that most chariots were far more Ford Mustangs than Thunderbirds. For you young souls who may not remember Thunderbirds, they were glorious. Look them up, please. Think super fancy car, as opposed to basic but sporty, okay?
The generals' chariots would be decked out with every luxury from gold plate to high art. The basic charioteer's would not be so fancy. In fact, his standard would very likely be his shield, hung securely over the side. This serves both to identify and protect.
Now, finally, the signal flags release us into the fury of battle. Our war horses fighting every bit as much as we are, our adrenaline charged aim better than our enemy's, we kill one of their charioteers, and take the first chariot of the day. Honor. What do we do, now?
Change the enemy's chariot flags and standards. Grab a guy who has a shield. Quick change now, our standard where the enemy's was. Our god is stronger than theirs, ha! Mingle the chariot with our own and bam, back in like a NASCAR team spitting the car back into the fray.
If one bushel of the enemy's wheat is worth twenty of our own, what's one chariot of theirs worth? I'm guessing about the same ratio. Just picture one part of a chariot, leather straps for this or that. Leather? Do you know how leather is made, how much labor not to mention cows?
But where the materials are valuable, consider the value of the soldiers, and of their reduced faith in their own god and their raised fear of ours. Again, think Command. If you command me to do the will of god, I obey, as long as I believe. How powerful is it to weaken faith?
Mingle their chariots with ours. What a command. The ancient Samurai have wisdom to help us unpack this. It is not the sharp sword, but rather the sharp soul which defeats the enemy. I have always pictured losing my sword, taking yours and slaying you with it. Sharp soul.
What does it mean to see my own side's chariot, new flags and standards installed, barreling towards me on the battlefield? Bad enough if its your chariot. My own? Now that's terrifying. The kind of terror that leads to surrender.
In the #MAGA movement today, we have precisely the same thing. It's called #WalkAway. It is our task to identify our own flags and standards, defeat Democrats at the polls, and place our flags and standards where theirs were.
Here's another example. Consider how terrifying the initials HRC are for the DNC. She was their ultimate flag bearer. Now, she has become one of our greatest assets.

But let's get truly serious. It is our schools that chariot our children into the future.
If we had fought this battle when we should have, decades ago, there would be no rise of socialism in America today. We lost that fight in the schools. Of course, it's more than just the schools. It is teacher's unions. It is federal, state and local corruption replete.
We must face it that complacency and apathy are every bit as much ways to abandon and betray our children as they are the path of victory for those who hate the founding principles of our nation. Did I just mention founding principles? Where would someone learn what those are?
We could pick other examples of what a chariot is today, and what it means to take one from the enemy. But the idea of mingling with our own is clearly the ultimate vision of transformation and victory. When we have #MAGA schools, we will have won. No resting till then.
