Last night, to celebrate 100 days since the main @FoxNews account stopped tweeting, I decided to peek at the status of all the auxiliary Fox accounts.

I gathered the list of Fox accounts from the "follows" of the main account. The first thing I noticed was that there are WAY more Fox twitter accounts than I had ever imagined.

Apparently Fox has a twitter account for just about everything: Cars, Health, Lifestyle, you name it.

Then I visited the twitter account of each one of them. I found that out of 36 accounts, only 8 are now active.

One - @FOXBusinessBRK – has never tweeted.

There were a few that had stopped tweeting many months or even years ago.

(lol – wonder why Fox News Latino never really made it off the ground?)

@FoxBizAlert gave it up about a year ago. It, and the previously discontinued 7 accounts seemed to gradually give up the ghost. A couple years here, a month or so there …

But starting on the day of midterms, 2018, something very different happened.

*19* Fox News accounts suddenly became inactive.

NINETEEN.

The first one to pack up was Fox Nation. It's last tweet was sent on 11/6/2018.

The next day, @FoxNewsLive - suddenly wasn't.

On November 8, the main @FoxNews account - and five others - went silent.

The next day, November 9, four others joined them.

*Note: Fox News Opinion RT'd two other tweets since then.

November 10, @FoxNewsLife seemed to decide get on with their own.

Fox & friends left the building on November 12, 2018.

The next day, November 13, Fox News Video @foxnewsvideo sent out their last tweet.

A couple weeks later, the twitter account Fox & Friends First, called it quits.

Two more Fox accounts quit in December. @FoxFilesFNC on the 7th and @foxnewsdesk on the 11th

Finally, @FoxNewsPhotos sent out their last tweet on 1/4/2019.

(this one was never a prolific tweeter, only tweeting once every two or three months)

So, to recap, 19 Fox twitter accounts have gone dark since election day 2018.

Nineteen. With no explanation.
