One of the major cons of being a digital native journo is that more than half of my work no longer exists because the website it was hosted on either redesigned and lost it or went under and it no longer exists.
Some of my work is a shell of its former self because for whatever reason the photography have been lost for whatever reason. Sometimes I find articles I wrote that were essentially photo journalism, and because the photos are no longer there the article is obsolete.
For instance, I got an exclusive on the 2015 SF Decorator's Showcase. Here's what the article looks like now since it's been scrapped of all its photography: sf.curbed.com/2015/4/23/9967… There's one photo even though our photographer took at least 30 that were included.
