#Counterpart's 1x05 is another great ep that features great character development and introduces a few new characters that help flesh out the plot.

Alice ends up being one of these new characters and she has an added bonus: she clues us in about Indigo.

What's interesting about Alice is that she knew that Indigo existed and tried to warn the Alpha world... but, despite keeping the intel, nobody gave much thought to it.

This was a mistake that would cost everyone dearly.

Also, by using private funds, Indigo managed to stay away from Management's purview. Thus, it was easy for Mira and co. to gather and train the kids.

Even easier if we consider that some had their own parents delivering them to Indigo.

..and apparently Mira keeps praising her top agent, Clare, as a way to motivate the others.

This gives the kids the idea that Clare is an hero when, in fact, she's essentially a radicalized and terrified child who can't see past the illusion.

Which brings us to Quayle. It's amazing how Alice gave him all the info he needed to realize he's the asset, but neither him nor Aldrich managed to figure it out.

I actually felt sorry for him, because at this point he has no idea what's coming.

Also, Aldrich needs to get a place away from the office. Living for work cannot be healthy...

Emily Alpha cheating disappointed Howard Prime. I guess he was hoping that she was a better version of Emily Prime.

Loved watching Howard Alpha and Emily Prime getting to know each other. J.K. Simmons and Olivia Williams nailed that scene.

You can tell how conflicted she is about wanting to know more about her other.

This is the first scene in which you actually see Emily using her skills to tail someone and it is just brilliant!

That scene in which Emily Prime tells Howard how her addiction started felt like a conversation she had with Howard Prime.

In the end, I don't know who's more fascinated. Howard Alpha watching a more honest version of his wife or Emily Prime watching a gentler version of her husband.

It's funny, because ever since they met they have this great chemistry.

To finish the commentary on 1x05: if anything, Howard Alpha is making his other's life better by building bridges with Anna.

That last scene was heartbreaking. He's literally getting to know the child he never had.
