No surprise Oleg #Deripaska didn't give up actual control of his companies to evade sanctions. He placed 3.4% of his shares in a company owned by his 2 children. Plenty of money flowed through this lobbying efforts. How much landed up in the pockets of #GOP Senators and Mnuchin?

1. The committee repeatedly got Cohen to name Trump Org CFO Allen Weisselberg as a co-conspirator in a long list of crimes: Campaign finance felonies, tax fraud, insurance fraud, more fraud. Big deal: They will subpoena him. /1/
Weisselberg knows a lot about Trump's criminal role - perhaps in money laundering. Is Weisselberg cooperating with Mueller? His immunity deal may be limited. @AOC and @RoKhanna did great work focusing on Weisselberg, who will be subpoenaed and may take the 5th. /2/

I see this error often. DOJ policy is not “precedent.” It does not bind any court. It is a directive from the top of an agency to the subordinate staff of that agency. It tells you what they can be expected to do. It binds them through employment, not force of precedent.
There is no legal equivalent to “stare decisis” for DOJ policy. A policy change would go through the same channels as any agency decision (completely unlike judicial precedent). As would a policy exception or modification.
IOW, a prior policy against indicting a sitting president is open to be completely thrown out and replaced, modified, made exception to, or even violated. The punishment for violating it would be losing one’s job. It would not make an indictment null and void.
