Michael Cohen has been disbarred, the New York Post just reported.

And now, a sealed document has been placed in the vault in his SDNY case.
Just a note for context: Sealed filings are routine in criminal cases. They're always "placed in [a] vault," and the judge recently ordered Cohen to propose redactions to the search warrants that media outlets successfully sued to unseal.

(Unclear if that's the issue here.)
"A conviction of a federal felony triggers disbarment by operation of law if the offense would constitute a felony if committed under New York law."

Read the 8-page ruling by New York's Appellate Division, First Department here: documentcloud.org/documents/5751…
Shoutout to @Emily_Saul_ and @TheNewsHam for obtaining the document and sharing it with the New York press pool.
