While we await Manafort news, it's worth noting that Russian telecom MTS's deferred prosecution agreement bears the signature from their attorneys at Skadden Arps.

A side note: Gulnara Karimova, the late Uzbek dictator's scion indicted today, was rumored to be dead in 2016.

Presumably, federal prosecutors in New York believe the reports of her death were an exaggeration.

SDNY charges what it calls a record-breaking foreign bribery scheme featuring a Russian telecom in Uzbekistan.
Reading through the court papers now.

At a quick glance, one of the companies mentioned in them is the Dutch-based VimpelCom, which had to pay $795M fine in another SDNY case in 2016.

This appears to be an offshoot of that case, featuring exec from the Uzbek subsidiary of the Russian telecom Mobile TeleSystems.

SDNY’s statement: Berman calls it the “third installment” of a corruption trilogy.

How it works for dealers:

Credit line (flooring) secured by cars @ 85% of value, 15% cash by dealer
Inventory must be in known location so it can be audited by lender. Lender is putting up $, needs to know where their collateral is.
Dealers have lots, also off site locations, but those don't change and are known by the flooring co

When car is sold, $ is received, Car is given to to new buyer with temp tags, the new owner leaves the lot.

#SCOOP (thread): 13 rescue pods commissioned by #ElonMusk for the #ThailandCaveRescue have been flown to Thailand. They are designed to transport the boys by floating or submersion, and can also be used as a rescue sled. They are awaiting news about the rescue operation.
2/ Andrew Branagh of the northern California company Wing Inflatables states "The rescue pods are designed so they are like a belt chamber"
3/ Branagh says that when you turn the pods one way it allows them to float, and "when you turn them another way they sink."
