3. Pretty much every time I've tweeted about my ADHD, even for a silly joke, I get messaged by people who want to talk about it, who want to understand what ADHD is like for adults—and if they have it.
4. I was diagnosed about 5 years ago, and it changed my life for the better. I started medication. More importantly, I began to understand ADHD is always going to be there with me. The stuff that's hard for me, that seems so simple, won't suddenly become simple.
5. Accepting that those things won't be easy means I can come up with fixes. Sometimes. But I get by a lot better now than when I just hated myself for being lazy.
