It wasnt today, but something has been kinda bothering me. A few days ago I saw a news story that YET AGAIN was saying "video games make people violent" and was going on how they will explain how to stop your kids from playing fortnite and ALL videogames.

So dispite all the studies disproving this, a big ish city is still pushing this kind of agenda. And it's disgusting. It is a VENT. It is a healthy vent. When we are children we are not given many healthy vents other than to "talk to your parents". Okay, parents get busy.
Parents also have lives. And SOMETIMES Can't listen about some mean kid at school. Plus, they rather give you the chance to resolve it on your own. As a kid my parents worked jobs where they were not home until after 6pm. And that was assuming they weren't called out for a fire.
They were fire fighters. Now you know, the world is expecting more work for less money. Pushing damned near impossible hours, that can stress family life at home. How the fuck do you vent? You have no one to talk to. Your siblings can't always help because sure in a perfect
family will siblings all get along, but that isnt the case for most people.
Video games can offer a healthy vent to vent out frustration and pain. It also encourages creativity! Look at minecraft for example. I would be lying if I didnt say that's how I learned to identify

Make a living. Not just on twitch and youtube, but the video game makers. They pour their heart and soul into their work.
And not to plug, but they are also useful for bringing meaningful ways of fundraising to younger generations. There are so many charity streamers on twitch!

So can everyone PLEASE calm down about video games? They will always exsist. They aren't going away. Quit playing this off as the cause for gun violance and other stuff. VIDEO GAMES ARE NOT PART OF THIS.
