A Democrat on today's committee said that the increasing number of children crossing our border has "nothing to do with the loopholes" in our law.
That is nonsensical. Any parent knows that if they bring their kid, they get a free ticket into the country:

In fact, smuggling significantly dropped off after Trump was elected, then went right back up after smugglers realized the laws weren't changing.
