2. With one exception, Obama did not achieve 3 consecutive quarters of >2% GDP growth throughout his entire presidency. Trump has had >2% GDP growth in every single quarter of his presidency.
3/x. In his first full year of presidency Trump just achieved >3% GDP growth. Obama never had a GDP growth of >3% in eight years of his presidency. Obama also has the miserable distinction of being the only U.S. President in history to have accomplished that ignominious feat.
Correction: The below story from CNBC had reported a full year 2018 GDP growth of 3.1% (which they have now corrected to 2.9%). I guess they had just averaged the four quarterly GDP growth rates of 2.2%, 4.2%, 3.4%, and 2.6%, which is not the correct way.
