What makes this funny is that the average R member (and many Dems) knows less about public affairs than my cat 2/ 
You don't want to put new Congresspeople on pedestals; @AOC is a real political talent and works at policy, but gets things wrong (cough Modern Monetary Theory cough); then again, who doesn't? 3/
But of course the right simply can't handle the idea of smart progressives, let alone smart female progressives, or worse yet smart progressives of color. It's at odds with their whole world view. 4/
