Let's face it: most prominent conservatives -- most political figures in general, to be fair, but even more so on the right -- are deeply charisma-challenged, boring, inarticulate, and, honestly, not too bright. Also pretty old. 2/
AOC is everything they aren't – and a woman of color too. We shouldn't put her on a pedestal – that's not doing her any favors either! She's going to make mistakes, commit the occasional gaffe, and in general be fallible. That's OK! 3/
But as a symbol she terrifies them. She makes the modern right look like mean-spirited dinosaurs (because they are). Hence the frantic efforts to destroy her 4/
