It is good for the billionaires who own baseball teams to have to pay a larger share of the wealth the teams create for them to the players who play the game.
I would rather the Yankees pay Machado $300M/10 years than Harper $330M/13 years but also they could afford either or both because the team prints money for its owners, who would prefer to convince the fans that they need to keep the payroll low.
(All the people who followed me over the Gaetz stuff suddenly realizing I am a Yankees fan and a sports commie.)
This would also work. But if you're increasing prices while pleading poverty rather than spending on players, you think your fans are idiots.
