ALERT: The Saudi regime has finished extracting forced confessions under severe physical and psychological torture of the women's rights activists arrested last May. Now that they have the forced confessions, they declare they're ready to proceed to trial.

The details of the torture in the above linked thread are horrible.
After extracting forced confessions from Loujain and the other women's rights activists, the criminal Saudi authorities also forced her to sign a request for a royal pardon.
Loujain's sister confirms: Loujain was made to sign a declaration, under threat of being raped then murdered.
Given that the regime seems to have extracted *both* forced confessions and forced appeals for a royal pardon, they're keeping their options open. A possible outcome is conviction followed by a pardon, but keeping a travel ban and maybe even house arrest.
That should not stand. The minimum acceptable outcome should be full acquittal, lifting the travel ban on them and their families, and an internationally-supported right to take their torturers to court, even if that means applying universal jurisdiction elsewhere in the world.
