A tremendous effort (by NGOs & lawyers, not the US govt) went into getting these parents closer to reunification with their children. This thread from @togetherrising gives you an idea

.@CBP keeps asking for proof these separated parents are who they say they are. @AlOtroLado_Org continues delivering it. So is there no space or does CBP not believe these people? Why have they been made to wait 6 hours (and counting)?
