The current front page of Jacobin is a sign of how Bernie basically killed Jacobin as something useful for the left. The leading socialist publication just relives the 2016 primary and go all-in for one leader who can save us? This is socialism? See here:

Why is a socialist publication talking about Hillary in 2019? Who cares about Hillary on the left? Why should we?
Then there is wall to wall coverage of Bernie's rally in Brooklyn. Yes, some people of color support Bernie. The question is why he struggles with black voters in primaries.

This piece on Bernie in Chicago is actually pretty interesting. But, again, why is socialism in America a full-on rally for someone who is basically a 70s-era left liberal who calls himself a socialist?

I realize that even mentioning this makes me automatically a neoliberal sellout or something. I like Bernie! I voted for him in 2016 and might again in 2020. But socialism is supposed to be about building power from below, not searching for the leader from above.
If Jacobin just wants to be a one-candidate publication, that's their choice. But given their founders' actual class-not-race stated position, hard to see how they are representing a socialism of the future. And going all-in on a old white man seems to have long-term problems.
I mean, given that Bhaskar actually said this...how can someone actually be so dismissive of race? Bernie might be a bit tone-deaf on racial issues. Jacobin's editors are significantly worse than that.
Not to mention that Bernie is old and the Jacobin boys are in their 20s and 30s. It's really unacceptable and is borderline flat out racist.
In any case, it's been sad watching Jacobin become an embarrassment. There is still some good stuff in there--see Greg Grandin's piece today--but far too many of the articles shouldn't see the light of day.
Jacobin would be a lot more useful focusing on the grassroots movements of the moment and using its readership to build a smart, tough left than it is engaging in dunking on liberals and reliving 2016.
