I'm not going to say this statement is a fact, but I will say it with 80% confidence:

New Federal spending programs should be entirely deficit-financed up until a point.

What is that point? Let's do a back of the envelope calculation...(1/22)
For 2019, the Federal budget deficit is projected to be $1 Trillion or 4.7% of GDP.

The largest the US budget deficit in history was in 1944 at 22.2%. Now that budget deficit resulted in high inflation (but nowhere near hyperinflation) (2/22)
and necessitated higher taxes & govt price-fixing. But briefly setting that aside, lets see what the budget deficit would be at 22.2% of GDP in ‘19.

22.2% / 4.7% = 4.7

4.7x's deficit/GDP...for 2019 that would be $4.7T, or $3.7T MORE than we are currently spending. (3/22)

If you point to some Democrats, even prominent ones, taking a picture with Louis Farrakhan or Hillary Clinton hugging Robert Byrd as a counterfactual to Grand Wizard of the KKK, David Duke, whole-heartedly endorsing President Trump's immigration agenda (1/5)
and the lie-filled stump speeches and TV ads that frame them, you have to provide this to me:

1. Louis Farrakhan's specific preferred anit-Semitic policies and the Democrats who are trying to make them into reality. (2/5)
2. Robert Byrd's explicitly racist policies that have been championed by any Democrat within the last 40 years.

When you can do that, I'll accept that when it comes to implementing and championing overtly racist policy, both sides do it. (3/5)

My guess is 100 percent of the people who do want a socialist have zero idea what socialism actually means.
Here’s some things young people should understand about socialism:

• 4 of the top 5 genocides since the 1900’s occurred due to socialism and communism
• Everytime it’s done on a mass scale your basic rights erode until all at once they’re gone
• If you think Venezuela can’t happen here then you don’t know just a few years ago Bernie Sanders said that Venezuela more embodied the American dream than America
• Political opposition becomes criminal or heavily persucuted
• The majority end up poor and hungry together

(You can still find all those posts if you look, although a lot of the YouTube links etc are now dead ends. It was 40 Days Of EC then, so for 2018 I'm upping it to 45.)
Mostly I will be going chronologically from the early years right up to the present, but it feels right to start out with Costello's 2002 song, "45."
