There is a chilling undertone to the concern trolling many academics and people of means have doubled down on recently with the rise of #MMT and the crss "activists" who, plain spoken in nature, strike back hard against the economic narratives placing them in bomdage and despair

I have been long term unemployed due to a variety of reasons, none of which have anything to do with a lack of education, credentials or experience. I have lost my healthcare, seen arthritis ravage my body and walk with a severely torn meniscus I cannot afford to repair.

A special needs son who requires my full energy and attention as I struggled to find a job that had the flex and the pay to both support our family and simultaneously allow me to effectively care for my young son.

Student debt piling up and an unforgiving NelNet who blows my phone up with nonstop threats of default.

Arrears in child support making me look like a deadbeat

Foreclosure notices and constant creditors ringing my phone.

All the while people of means attempt to paint my words and work as rude or ungentlemanly or some other concern troll distraction to attempt to mitigate the harsh truth that many people of means, trust fund babies & membera of the silver spoons club of privilege dont want to hear

Days go by where the rafters and a noose seem like a welcomed friend.

The pain and lack of hope can be suffocating.

Yet the fucking tone police feel their need for decorum is far greater than anything stated previously.

The sick stench of privilege is a cancer that is every bit as disgusting as the austerity that has made life nearly unbearable

The ass out hug, the "keep your distance" arrogance... the intentional stifling of the sounds of suffering and boxed under some vile "indiscretion" or "poor manners" or "rude behavior" completely fails the test of empathy or understanding that, to many, #MMT REPRESENTS HOPE.

And those who shit on the work of activists for not speaking like Charles Dickens "Tiny Tim", who lack the proper "deference" as they struggle to walk on bad knees with no hope of affording surgery without the promise of #MMT lens driven policy prescriptions can just go fuck off

And I am done trying to compare my addiction recovery, divorce recovery, unemployment and poor health to those in positions of privilege who abuse their station in life as gate keepers and who ignore you and shit on you and silence you into oblivion.

I have had enough of every single one of them

Folks that do not get this should be forced to walk a mile in someone's shoes who is living it. The privilege of painting this stuff as "abrasive" or "aggressive" obviously do not want for anything

Yes. You are correct. Even the good guys can lead lives of privilege. Distancing themselves from the REAL proof of why MMT is so DAMNED VITAL.

Nothing worse that being shutdown as you both seek to educate and survive simultaneously. Nothing worse than being treated as "lesser" or "undesirable"

There is absolutely no haven for the downtrodden and no platform from which to deliver the real messages of sorrow austerity breeds.

I guess the statistics need to be even more wretched to force the tone police into hiding and allow real people with real suffering a platform where they are not treated as a pariah, anathema to advancing economic thought.
