Oh, oh, how familiar this sounds. I don't know why, though. Maybe it's still the list of all our weak generals ringing in my ears. Ignorant meddling with appointments, ignorant interference with decisions, hobbling the arm...that's it!

The peace dividend. So we defeat the USSR, it goes away. What do we do? We start eating up the military alive. Yeah, I know, the two Bush presidents were all warlike and all. I know. But their wars were not fought seriously. And Clinton and Obama? Hobbling, interfering. Oh yeah.

So now we have to look. How serious is the misfortune we face? There are two levels. The first is plane military. We actually could lose. Have you heard? We certainly are NOT ready to fight wars on two fronts, as we used to be. But, we might even lose on just one front.

We won't, and here's why not. We'll rally. We weren't ready for WWII, but we rallied. We'll really again if we must, so no, we won't lose. But, when you look at readiness, we're not. And all that does is encourage our enemies. Rulers are most certainly able to bring misfortune.

The second level is far more serious. We can't think clearly anymore. We do not know what rights are. Socialism is wrong, utterly. But, millions of us do not know that. Millions of us do not know what rights are. Work it through with me. We could lose our constitution.

Even worse, we could lose our Declaration of Independence. Life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness, these three. Socialism wipes them out, utterly. But, with our weak minds, we think everything is free, and are thereby ready to give up our freedoms, our rights.

Hobbling, interference and meddling, these three, these are the ways a ruler can bring misfortune. Please listen. America actually does need to be made great again. America has lost its greatness through these three things. Our rulers have brought misfortune.

In my youth, I foolishly believed that America was evil for all the wars it fought, for its taking America away from the natives who lived here first. It's an easy path to walk. What I've learned as I aged is this. There is only one America. It is built upon rights.

This is why I perpetually go off about Marx and Engels, and their war upon mind. Their purpose is to completely destroy the power of mind to understand rights. A mind that understands rights will not surrender. It won't be hobbled or interfered with.

Here's another hobbling. The founders, many of them, owned slaves, and our constitution allows for slavery. This is true. But it is also a hobbling. We ended up fighting a vast war, and more than 600,000 of died, and why? To free the slaves. Our rights led us there.

Don't be shocked, but I'm no fan of Lincoln's. Freeing the slaves was not his design. He saw the path forward through it, and I credit him with that. What I really give the credit to is America herself, and our rights. Life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness. These three.

We don't care about race or skin color, we're better than that. But our hobbling, interfering rulers are sometimes not quite so clear on their values, on our values. So I say, let's advance all on our own, regardless of our hobbling leaders. And no, NOT to socialism.

Let us advance to a more perfect union, on the basis of our rights. Let us perfect ourselves all on our own. And let us never forget how our rulers can hobble us, if we let them.
