Okay. Here is goes. (1) Professor Norman Finkelstein, a jewish academic, both of who's parents were holocaust survivors, is apparently an antisemite and it was his cartoon which Naz Shah retweeted and which was falsely miscontextualised as antisemitic .
(2) Miko Peled, son of an israeli general, grandson of a founding father of State of Israel and is an israeli jewish campaigner for peace. Falsely alleged to have denied the holocaust at Labour Conference 2017. Ken Loach famously refused to condemn his non-holocaust denial
(3) The "antisemite" who Jeremy Corbyn invited to speak at his holocaust remembrance day was Dr Hajo Meyer, a jewish holocaust survivor. (4) Dr Marek Edelman, a commander of the Warsaw Ghetto uprising, also is accused of being an antisemite for comparing Gaza to Warsaw

In 4 days time, it's likely that Labour NEC will adopt the IHRA Working Definition of Antisemitism (text: holocaustremembrance.com/working-defini…) with caveats added to protect freedom of speech re: Israel/Palestine.

I don't think this is a good idea. Thread incoming, mea culpa, me paenitet..
Firstly, I recognise the necessity of tackling antisemitism in the Labour Party head on - not just out of electoral strategy, but because Jews once again are being painted as rootless cosmopolitans and subverters of democracy in Europe (see Nick Timothy's article, etc).
Such tropes, at the centre rather than the fringes of political discourse, are part of a wider project to use ideas of the 'alien enemy within' to break and remake society in the image of increasingly hardline ethnonationalism. This must be fought tooth and nail at every step.

It's not language I would personally use. But you can't reasonably claim it's anti-Semitic for a Jewish survivor of the Nazi death camps at Auschwitz to find parrallels between Palestinian oppression and his oppression.
Hajo Meyer was a moral giant with more integrety in his little finger than a million lilly-livered "pro-Corbyn" blue ticks throwing yet another left-wing Labour member under the bus while they appear on Newsnight.

So I've been wanting to know for a while how non-binary folks in Israel navigate Hebrew, which is a much more gendered language than English is. Verbs and adjective forms are based on the gender of the person (or object) being spoken about, so it's trickier. (Short thread.)
I've been asking, and have heard 3 solutions so far. One is using they/them, mixed-gender/masc plural, akin to they/them but also verbs. הם אמרו/אתם אמרתם if that one non-binary person said something, eg.
The second is going back and forth between genders--using both masc and feminine pronouns, verbs, etc. The person I spoke to didn't suggest mixing them up but I bet that could be an option as well. אתה אומר/את אומרת/ אתה אומרת
all in the same conversation or something.
