Ultimate Guide: Here is everything you need to know about the new and upcoming Sci-Fi epic Denis Villeneuve film “Dune”. (A thread) 
The story follows a noble house, the Atreides, as they’re given control of the desert planet Arrakis. The planet is the only known source of spice, a drug that enhances human mental abilities, and makes space travel possible.
When the family is overthrown by the rival Harkonnen house, Paul Atreides and Lady Jessica flees and is taken in by nomads known as the Fremen. He becomes their messianic leader, and works to lead a revolution on the planet to overthrow the Harkonnens.
Timothée Chalamet will play Paul Atreides, the firstborn son of a noble family who come to Arrakis to export its impossible wealth of spice. Timothée was nominated for Best Actor for the Oscars in the movie “Call Me by Your Name”.
Oscar Isaac will play Leto Atreides, Paul Atreides' father. He is also a head of House Atreides.
Rebecca Ferguson will play Lady Jessica, the Duke's true love and the woman who teaches Paul the skills of the Bene Gesserit. She been in movies Mission Impossible and The Greatest Showman.
Josh Brolin will play Gurney Halleck, the chief warmaster of the Atreides family, and the one responsible for young Paul's combat training.
Jason Momoa will play as Duncan Idaho, another warrior loyal to the Atreides, and one who could have quite a future with the franchise.
Zendaya will play Chani, a Fremen warrior and a key piece of young Paul's emotional and spiritual journey.
Javier Bardem will play Stilgar, the leader of the Fremen tribe that takes Paul Atreides in and helps shape his destiny. He won Best Actor in Supporting Role at the Oscars in the movie “No Country for Old Man”.
Charlotte Rampling will play a galactic emperor's Truthsayer, Gaius Helen Mohiam.
Dave Bautista will play as Glossu Rabban Harkonnen, known by the charming name of "Beast." He is a nephew of Baron Vladimir. He will be reunited with director Denis Villeneuve, as he played in Blade Runner 2049.
Stellan Skarsgard will play as the main antagonist, Baron Vladimir Harkonnen.
David Dastmalchian will play as Piter De Vries, a twisted Mentat, a human trained to perform mental functions rivaling computers.
Denis Villeneuve will be directing Dune. He’s behind recent Sci-Fi masterpieces like Blade Runner 2049 and Arrival. He showcases a style that is moody and beautiful. He provides bold, striking visuals to where it gives us chills. He’s the perfect director for this kind of movie
There are still actors to be announce for remaining roles for Dune.
Budapest is considered the primary shooting location for the film. It will be most likely be a location where it will shoot indoor scenes. Also, Jordan could be also be another shooting location, as the film will be set in the Arrakreen desert most of the time.
Greig Fraser will be the cinematographer for Dune. While it’s sad that Roger Deakins won’t be partnered with Denis again, Fraser will do an fantastic job. He did Rogue One, Zero Dark Thirty, and Lion, which he did an phenomenal job in.
Dune will be a two-parter, as the first movie will cover first half of the novel. IF the first movie do good, then the second movie will most likely be in the works, covering the second half of the book.

Chang Chen will play Dr. Yueh, who is a physician who works for the Atreides family.
