At minimum, we need to ensure that there is ALWAYS representation for survivors, and if there isn't an organization that provides representation for victims of assault who no longer have the option of pursuing criminal charges against the perpetrator, there needs to be.
And it should be possible for any survivor to ensure that perpetrators can be added to a sex offender's registry as terms of any settlement or judgement - indicating it was the result of a civil suit rather than criminal charges.
