I find this idea of an Asian century completely absurd. And yes, Indian economy exceeded the size of Europe’s four centuries ago but only because everyone lived in misery and there were more people living in misery in India

So, no the Indian economy did not exceed Europe’s by any measure that would be intersting to anyone except the demographer. Not the economist or the historian
As for the future, it is still the case that the global economy is a triangle with three poles, two of are broadly Western. Add India and Japan, their status is ambiguous as well. It’s an Eurasian, not an Asian world
