.@MichaelRCaputo it's a bit of fakery for you to say my book has been disproven and then indicate you cannot provide a single example because you don't want to buy it.
And the notion that FISAs started because of @Isikoff's work is disproven by the public record. You can review that...without spending a dime. Check out this story:

It shows the @Isikoff story was included in the FISA warrant because the article included a section in which Carter Page *denied* he was in league with Russia. It did not get the FISA rolling. So can we please have a debate based on facts, not snark and misrepresentation?

.@ChuckRossDC, the facts are not on your side. In the book, we reported the Steele memos were full of unconfirmed allegations. And we reported that there was little time in Moscow for Trump to have the alleged pee party....
We reported that Steele thought that allegation was at best 50-50.
I have repeatedly said Steele memo specifics were unproven. But I have said his first memo hit themes—Moscow attempting to cultivate Trump and interactions between Trump campaign and Russia—that did line up with information that emerged later.

Interesting point. So while cybersecurity experts were saying the Russians were the culprits—as we report in “Russian Roulette”—@ggreenwald was challenging this and taking handouts from a front (per Mueller) for Russian intelligence?
I don’t begrudge @ggreenwald or anyone else their skepticism of government sources. (Hey, @Isikoff and I wrote a book on Bush’s WMD con.) But there were other sources at the time. And perhaps a wee bit of skepticism was also warranted about Moscow’s and Guccifer 2.0’s denials.
After all, who wants to end up a part of a Russian operation to subvert a US election to help a paranoid and bigoted rightwing demagogue become president?

If you read "Russian Roulette," @ggreenwald, you'd know that it is not based on the Steele memos. We reported on how they came to be & noted that their specific allegations remained largely unproven. Our finding-Trump "aided and abetted" the Russian attack-was not based on them.
Our book covered how Russia attacked a US election and chronicled the curious and troubling Trump-Russia interactions that occurred before, during, and afterward--and how Trump and his crew falsely denied the attack was underway, echoing and amplifying Moscow disinformation...
...essentially running interference for the Russian operation....So if you think its gotcha to point out that @Isikoff disparaged the Steele memos, then I question whether you really understand the Trump-Russia scandal and how we have written about it.

1/ Recently finished Menon’s translation of Bhagavad Gita, the holy #book of Hindus. There’s a lot to like about it, but it leaves a few issues unresolved.

Here are my notes on Gita.
2/ The story revolves around the warrior Arjuna who faces conflict during a war with his cousins.

He simply cannot bring himself to kill the people he grew up with. So he tells his charioteer, Krishna, that he’d rather die than go to war.
3/ This conflict is used as a backdrop by Krishna, who actually is an incarnation of God, to reveal the truth of the world to Arjuna.

The ideas and concepts in Gita are consistent with other Hindu philosophies and ideas

1: Potential customer says they might buy the product in a year if we had a feature they want first
vs
2: Potential customer is signing a paid deal now, and they'll pay us more if we add the feature they want

If we just look at this, #2 feature is getting prioritized
In going on three years of business, we've learned the hard way that "add this and then I'll think about buying it" is pretty much worthless.

If a customer cares- in a way that helps us be a sustainable business- they'll offer $ for it or a concrete contract that leads to $
I recognize that a lot of early businesses can't get a #2 option. In that case I encourage you to recognize that #1 has some value, but you don't *really* know until you get a real deal signed that will bring you money. Always aim for that, don't make any big bets till you get it

Warning: this thread is going to be huge.
2/ Human systems are systems within systems, interacting in complex ways. No article / paper / logic can capture all interactions of such systems and their evolution over a non-trivial amount of time.

So fear one shot, large scale interventions (such as invasions, UBI, CRISPR)
3/ People with fuck you money should call out famous or powerful people when they are wrong
